  Hello everyone! Today we’re going to talk about some takeaways from the class. So, the two major categories that I have takeaways from were the games in the classroom section and data collection section. So, for games in the classroom, while obviously I was aware that we still need to manage the classroom well, but it was kind of a reminder, I guess, that it is very important to remember. While we enjoy having fun in the classroom, our students enjoy having fun in the classroom, we still need manage the classroom and make sure that we are not so focused on competition or winning in the games that we’re having in the classroom that we get distracted from the learning. And the fact that students need to know what they are to be learning, it seems obvious, but it just kind of was another one of those “aha!” Yes, I need to be sure to remember to focus on that when preparing games in the classroom as well as to make sure that we’re staying on topic.   Hello everyone! Today we’re going to talk about accessibility regarding online learning. So, accessibility is always important. Just like we have to make sure that all of the content that we’re teaching is accessible in an in-person class to all of our students, we need to do the same with our online classes. Roblyer & Hughes (2019) makes a point of stating that, in stating that, we have to make sure that the online courses are accessible to those individuals that have the visual impairment, the hearing impairment, the physical impairments to ensure that there is Universal Design for Learning. So, it is very important to make sure that we follow through with that as well.
